By filling our application form you agree with all the terms below and understand that the violation of any of the terms or any of the rules in the ruleset provided for the current season can result in a disqualification of participation in the current season or entire removal from the league with no refunds to any fees paid prior.
• Applicable to all High Schools and Home-Schools:
New High Schools and Home-Schools are accepted in our league on a first-come, first serve basis. We cannot guarantee that all applying High Schools and Home-Schools will be accepted. For this Season there is a total of 39 spots for new High Schools and Home-Schools, with 9 being reserved for qualifying Title 1 High Schools in the United States.
All High Schools and Home-Schools interested can only join the league when a season is announced. Registrations close the day before the season starts and opens again only when the next season is announced.
All agree to have 3 students chosen as athletes for their team at sign up. A minimum of 3 students is required for this season. Backups and extras are encouraged but not required.
All agree and understand that each athlete can only use an Oculus Quest or Oculus Quest 2 (preferred) to participate in this season. No other types, brands or models of VR equipment will be accepted this time.
All agree to deliver the equipment to their chosen athletes by the start date and allow them to keep it for the entire duration of the season, just like a textbook.
All agree to have at a minimum 2 school staff or adults available to be contacted by our staff for any league or season related needs.
All understand that the athletes must be currently enrolled in high school education. This includes: home, private, public, and virtual education programs.
All understand that the athletes must be between the ages of 13 to 19 years of age. Some exceptions to this rule may apply on a case by case basis.
All understand that the athletes are required to join the league Discord server with school-appropriate nicknames before the start of the season. Staff will add school tags or ask students to do so as needed. Educators and parents are not required to join the Discord but encouraged to, if interested in meeting all of our community and other school staff and parents.
All understand that the league Discord will be used for organizing matches between teams and communicating with coaches and our staff.
All understand that the athletes must be prepared, ready to compete and check-in in our league Discord at least 30 minutes prior to all scheduled matches.
All understand that each athlete must have access to stable Wi-Fi internet during the duration of the season. It is preferred that each athlete compete from their own homes but if any are unable to play from home due to internet issues, the school staff or educators must provide a safe space with adequate access to stable Wi-Fi internet, at least 6 feet of space between each athlete's play-space which should be of at least 6 by 6 feet each.
All athletes, adults, educators and school staff must not engage in negative conduct. This is not limited to but includes discrimination, racism, misogyny, harassment, cheating, posting of or conducting any illegal activity, breaking the league or Discord rules.
All understand that we can facilitate the purchase and delivery of the required VR equipment if necessary through one of our retail partners. All interested parties must contact us at least 2 weeks prior to the start date of the season to check if there is inventory available.
• Applicable to Title 1 High Schools in the United States:
All Title 1 High Schools accepted into our league and season agree to have their athletes chosen and ready to receive and deliver the equipment donated at least one day before the season starts.
If more qualifying Title 1 High Schools sign-up than the number that we can provide equipment for, the first 9 that applied will be accepted into our league free of any costs. All others are still welcome to participate and are exempt of the entry fee but must purchase and deliver to each of their athletes an Oculus Quest or Oculus Quest 2 (preferred) at least one day before the season starts.
STATE CRITERIA: For Season 1 all Title 1 High Schools from U.S. qualify for sponsorship except Puerto Rico.
• Applicable to Non-Title 1 High Schools, unqualified Title 1 High Schools, and Home-Schools everywhere:
The school staff, adults and/or educators that sign-up understand that the entry fee must be paid within 7 days of confirmation of acceptance via email.
The school staff, adults and/or educators that sign-up agree to purchase and deliver to each of their athletes an Oculus Quest or Oculus Quest 2 (preferred) at least one day before the season starts.
Alternatively, the school can choose 3 students that already own a Quest or Quest 2 (each) to play, therefore having no upfront equipment cost.
Schools that choose to pursue the equipment-purchasing route are more than welcome to reach out to our staff to get assistance and purchase with our retail partners.
