By filling our sponsorship application form and/or purchasing merchandise, products or services such as the "Season Pass", you agree with all the terms below and understand that the violation of the terms or rules in the rule book provided for the ongoing season can result in a disqualification of participation in the ongoing competitions or complete removal from the League with no refunds given to any amounts paid prior.
All parties understand that the League does not exercise any sort of exclusivity contract with any participants regarding esports league participation. All are welcome to play in other leagues.
All parties understand each team must have a minimum of 2 athletes and 1 teacher to compete. The teacher will be responsible for ensuring the team is ready to play and serving as a bridge between the League and the athletes in case they are unreachable by the League staff. Extra athletes as backups are allowed, but additional costs may apply.
All parties understand that athletes can only use original Meta or Oculus virtual reality devices to compete in the League, such as "Quest" and "Quest 2" models. No other types, brands or models of VR equipment will be accepted at this time.
All parties agree each athlete must be in possession of their Meta or Oculus virtual reality device at least two weeks prior to the start date of the upcoming season and must be allowed to keep it for the entire duration of it, just like a textbook.
All parties agree that any team or school participating in the season must have at a minimum 2 school staff or adults available to be contacted by our staff for any League or season related needs.
All parties understand that the athletes must be currently enrolled in high school education. This includes: home, private, public, and virtual education programs.
All parties understand that the athletes must be between the ages of 13 to 19 years of age. Some exceptions to this rule may apply on a case by case basis.
All parties understand that any who wishes to join the High School Heroes Esports League Discord server must utilize an appropriate username identification. Usernames that violate the Terms of Service of Discord will be required to be changed in order to continue utilizing our Discord server.
All parties understand that at least 1 school staff or adult must join the High School Heroes Esports League community within the UGCesports.gg website, by following the instructions sent via email by the League staff in order to create his team roster and be assigned captain. Athletes and backups are incentivized to join so as for being capable of having more detailed team and games' statistics that can be used by the school, team's captain, or coach for future training and improvement.
All parties understand that the UGCesports.gg website will be used for organizing matches between teams and for communication among all participants.
All parties understand that season updates such as new matches, new brackets, and other related updates will be sent automatically via email by UGC, and will also be posted in the High School Heroes Esports League Discord server for ease of access.
All parties understand that the athletes must be prepared and ready to compete at least 60 minutes prior to their respective upcoming matches.
All parties understand that each athlete must have access to stable Wi-Fi internet during the duration of the season. It is perfectly acceptable for athletes to compete from their own homes if preferred, but if any are unable to do so, the school staff or adults responsible for the team must provide a safe space with adequate access to stable Wi-Fi internet, and ensure that each athlete's play area is at least 6 feet by 6 feet for comfort and safety reasons.
All parties involved must not engage in negative conduct. This includes but is not limited to discrimination, racism, misogyny, harassment, cheating, posting of or conducting any illegal activity, breaking the High School Heroes Esports League rules, UGC's Terms of Service, or Discord's Terms of Service.
All sponsorship applicants understand that the sponsorship is given on a first-come, first serve basis. The League cannot guarantee that all applicants will be accepted. The amount of sponsorships given per season is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the amount of season passes sold, partnerships and business agreements initiated with other organizations, and incurring League related operational costs.
All sponsorship applicants understand that the sponsorships are not distributed until a new season is announced. Upon the start of the first day of the announced season the sponsorship distribution is put to pause until the season ends, and a new season is announced. If more qualifying Title 1 High Schools sign-up than the amount that the League can sponsor for the current season, the remaining can re-apply when a new season is announced.
All schools and/or teams sponsored by the League agree to have their athletes prepared and to deliver the equipment donated to them at least two weeks before the season starts.
All schools and/or teams sponsored by the League agree to handle the equipment donated with care as instructed by the manufacturer.
All schools and/or teams sponsored by the League agree to return the equipment to the League if they cannot participate in the upcoming season.
STATE CRITERIA: Except for those in Puerto Rico, all High Schools from the United States of America currently designated by their state as "Title-1" can apply for sponsorship.
The school staff or adults responsible for the school and/or teams that joined the League understands that the amount paid is only refundable for up to 14 calendar days previous to the start date of the upcoming season and will not necessarily be refunded in its total original amount paid if school or team season-related expenses have been paid for by the League prior to the refund request.
The adults responsible for teams that joined the League agree to either (1) deliver to each of their athletes 1x Meta or Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality device at least two weeks before the season starts, or, (2) choose athletes that already own those devices and are currently enrolled in your high school.
